For the most part, there are not very many decisions that need to be made while playing Baccarat. All that you really need to worry about is whether to bet on the Banker hand or on the Player hand. Once this decision is made, you can relax and enjoy the game as it is played out to the end. The rules for drawing a third card are pretty much set in stone, and unlike in Blackjack, there are not any options to increase your wager once the cards have been dealt. With this being said, what kind of strategies could you possibly think about in this game?
First of all, there is some strategy in determining where you are going to place your bets. With a five percent house commission on all winning Banker’s hands, it would appear that the better bet would be on the Player’s hand. This is not true at all. Factoring in Ties and the five percent commission, the house edge on Bank บาคาร่า wagers is only 1.06 percent. Factoring in Ties, the house edge on Player’s hands is 1.24 percent, which is slightly higher, but not enough to be the determining factor. If however, the casino is only charging four percent commission on the winning Banker’s hands, then the house edge drops considerably to 0.6 percent. This would make the Banker’s bet the best choice every time. Conversely, while playing in a casino that pays eight to one on a Tie bet, the house edge is a whooping 14.36 percent, which makes it a poor wager (or sucker bet!) any way that you look at it. Even if you are lucky enough to find a casino that pays nine to one on a Tie bet, the house edge is still almost five percent. The best that can be said about the Tie bet is to stay away!
Another strategy that Baccarat players commonly use is called “following the shoe”. Simply stated, this means that if the Player wins one hand, then you bet on the Player for the next hand. Or, if the Banker wins one hand, then you bet on the Banker in the next hand as well. This would give you the best advantage to following that occasional streak that should happen to appear by putting you on the right side of the streak.
There is one other betting strategy that you could use while playing Baccarat which involves increasing your wager after a winning bet but for only four hands following the win. Say for example that you are wagering $5.00 per hand. If you win that hand, then you bet $15.00 on the next hand, but if you lose, you keep your bet at $5.00. If your $15.00 wager wins, then you bet $25.00 on the next hand. Once again, if this hand loses, then you return to your $5.00 bet. Continue this strategy until your fourth increase, which would be $35.00. After this hand, win or lose, then go back to your $5.00 bet. This would give you the best opportunity to maximize your winnings without breaking your bankroll along the way. If you find that you keep winning, then you can increase the number of times that you increase your bets from four to five. Just remember that the house edge is there for a reason and that it will catch up to you eventually.
